Humble, unassuming, and multi-talented are words often used to describe the 27 year old singer-songwriter from Cape Town, South Africa.

Chris’ progressive rise in popularity has seen him securing a place on Bobby van Jaarsveld’s team in the first season on The Voice South Africa, opening for James Blunt during his Moon Landing World Tour at the Grand West Arena in Cape Town, and performing alongside some of South Africa’s greatest home-grown stars.

He is no stranger to the music scene, with his previous single ‘Tell Me’ bleeding raw emotion, encapsulating acoustic simplicity, and lyrical honesty into a perfectly crafted mid-tempo ballad, revealing the true songwriting genius that Chris Werge is.

The journey of his brand new release began with a melody that Chris recorded on a voice note on the 29th of November 2017. Produced and co-composed by top South African producer / song-writer Daniel Baron from The Hit Kitchen Studios, the carefully nurtured eleven month old melody was encapsulated into the commercial pop driven single which is ‘Feel’

The dreamy synth arpeggio melts into the honeyed vocals which are elevated by brutally raw and honest lyrics, whilst the articulation of the tight rhythmic drumbeats, orchestral string collection, and traditional South African guitar riffs, transports listeners into an unparalleled experience of true acoustic-pop artistry.
